Cavalleria Rusticana at Lyric Opera of Kansas City

To commence the new season, Mr. Smith makes his first role debut of the season, as Turiddu in Pietro Mascagni’s Cavalleria rusticana at Lyric Opera of Kansas City. This powerful opera, with its evocative score, explores the repercussions of unfaithfulness and the extremes we may resort to when seeking vengeance. Under the baton of Maestro Roberto Kalb, Mr. Smith is joined by Samantha Hankey as Santuzza and Gevorg Hakobyan as Alfio. This opera is merged as a double bill viewing with Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci.
